Bizerba Achieves Strong Annual Result and Reinforces Trust in a Demanding Environment

Balingen, Germany, 04/08/2025

| Despite a challenging economic landscape, Bizerba has closed the 2024/25 fiscal year with a strong performance. The globally operating company based in Balingen thereby reaffirms its stability and future viability – and confirms its position as a reliable partner for craft businesses, retail, industry, and logistics worldwide.

Last year’s global conditions continued to be shaped by restrained investments, geopolitical tensions, and an overall sluggish economic climate. Bizerba had proactively prepared for these developments and initiated a comprehensive business transformation two years ago. This strategic realignment focused on greater efficiency, clearer structures, and enhanced customer orientation – with measurable success.

Strong Results Despite Difficult Markets

All three Business Units – Retail, Industry, and Labels & Consumables – contributed significantly to Bizerba’s overall performance. In Retail, the service business continued to gain importance. Industrial applications benefited from new project wins and steady demand in Europe. Labels & Consumables proved to be a stable revenue driver and were strategically expanded with solutions that enable faster responses to customer needs.

Peter Riedel, COO at Bizerba, highlights technological progress as a key success factor:
“We continuously develop our technologies in line with our customers’ needs – intelligently connected, data-driven, and with a focus on sustainable added value. This innovative strength is one of the core drivers of our success – today and in the future.”

Although revenue of approximately €830 million fell short of the budget target, Bizerba still achieved a positive financial result – under extremely challenging conditions. The past fiscal year demanded a great deal from the company and its employees. This outcome was only possible through decisive action, consistent prioritisation, and the dedicated collaboration of all teams.

This strengthens the trust of external stakeholders. Angela Kraut, CFO and shareholder at Bizerba, comments on the result:
“We have consistently streamlined our cost structure and focused our actions on economic stability. The result shows: future readiness today means acting with discipline and determination.”

Clear Perspective: Strategy 2030 in Focus

With the current fiscal year, Bizerba is firmly looking ahead. Strategy 2030 positions the company to actively shape a changing world – through sustainable, results-driven growth powered by innovation, customer proximity, and operational excellence. Global market trends – such as catch-up effects in retail or new dynamics in industrial production – offer a solid foundation for this.

“Like many companies in our industry, we continue to operate in an economically challenging environment,” says Andreas W. Kraut, CEO and shareholder at Bizerba.
“That makes it all the more remarkable how committed and open to change our team is in shaping this journey. We’re in a strong position today – and that sends a clear message to our customers and partners: Bizerba is a reliable companion. Now it’s about continuing this journey together – step by step, with clarity, courage, and trust.”

Global Fight Against Food Waste
According to studies, up to one third of all food produced worldwide ends up as waste each year. This alarming figure is a growing concern not only for consumers, but it is also climbing the agenda of both the media and policymakers – especially in light of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12.3, which calls for halving global food waste by 2030. One of the key levers in this effort is the deployment of modern technology across the entire value chain.
